A Flowmodoro timer that leaves the stopping point to you.
Sometimes the paragraph finally starts making sense at minute 24. Keep going. When you reach a good stopping point, turn the time you worked into a short break.
An open-ended focus session, then a break at one fifth of your focus time.
Prepare break uses your elapsed focus time. Reset unlocks the stages.

Work until you reach a sensible stopping point.
Ready when you are. Nothing starts automatically.
No saved sessions. No effect on your workspace timer. Leaving or reloading clears this clock. Completion is silent.
How this Flowmodoro timer works
Press Start and the clock counts up from zero. When you are ready to stop, choose Prepare break. The timer divides your displayed focus time by five, rounds the result up to a whole second, and sets a break of at least one minute. The break waits for you to start it.
A 40-minute session gives you eight minutes off. A 25-minute session gives you five. The ratio is a convenient convention, not a rule about how long your body needs to rest. You can adjust the prepared break before starting.
Choose it when the work has its own rhythm
A fixed interval is useful when getting started is the problem. An open-ended timer can be a better fit when interruptions are the problem: tracing a bug, following a difficult argument, or joining up the parts of a draft. Pause for a doorbell or a call; resume when the work actually resumes.
Give yourself a stopping cue before you begin. “When I finish checking this function” is more useful than “when I feel completely done.” An open clock can otherwise turn into a reason to postpone every break.
Flowtime and Flowmodoro are related, but not identical
People use both names for flexible focus sessions. Flowtime routines can involve observing attention and choosing breaks freely; Flowmodoro tools often calculate a break from elapsed work. This page implements the latter, with a fixed 5:1 starting ratio and an editable break. It does not rate your focus or keep a work log.
Before you start
Does Flowmodoro stop after 25 minutes?
No. Focus counts upward until you pause or prepare a break. There is no automatic focus deadline or automatic break start.
Can I change the break?
Yes. Prepare break calculates one fifth of the displayed focus time, with a one-minute minimum. Before starting it, use a preset or enter a whole number of minutes from 1 to 180.
Will this update my main Pomodoro?
No. These clocks belong to this page only. Starting, pausing, resetting, and finishing do not create a session or change the workspace timer. Reloading clears the local clock.
